Celebrating Inclusion / Opening Doors

Temple Beth Israel is excited to be accepted as an Affiliate of the Ruderman Synagogue Inclusion Project at Combined Jewish Philanthropies (RISP), indicating we we welcome, value and include people of all abilities.
All interested in supporting the critical work of RISP are invited to attend its annual event Celebrating Community: Opening Doors to Jewish Community. The evening will feature a panel discussion moderated by CJP’s Sarah Abramson with Kitty Dukakis and former Governor Michael Dukakis, who will discuss the importance of destigmatizing mental illness and how to best support individuals and families affected by mental health issues. Cynthia Piltch and her husband Jamie Katz will add to the discussion with their thoughts on how their synagogue’s Mental Health Initiative supported them as they faced the challenges and effects of depression.
