A Klezmer Chanukah with Hankus Netsky and Friends


On Sunday, December 18th at 3PM, Temple Beth Israel in Waltham will present A Chanukah Celebration featuring Hankus Netsky and Friends.

The program will feature vocalist/dance leader Judy Bressler, vocalist/violinist Eden MacAdam Somer, vocalist Cantor Ken Richmond, clarinetist Zoe Christiansen and members of the Klezmer Conservatory Band, along with some special guests. The concert will include Chanukah music from all over the world, including little-known eastern European repertoire gathered from Temple Beth Israel member and Holocaust survivor Morris Hollender.

There will be dancing and refreshments for all. All ages are welcome to come and celebrate the season!

Hankus Netsky is founder and director of the Klezmer Conservatory Band and Music Director for Itzhak Perlman’s “In the Fiddler’s House” and “Soul of Jewish Music” projects. He is the director of the Discovery Project at the National Yiddish Book Center and chair of the Contemporary Improvisation Department at the New England Conservatory.

Tickets are $20 for Temple Members, seniors and students & $25 for Non-members.
